The College Board® helpfully provides seven practice tests, in both digital and paper (PDF) formats. The digital practice tests are available through the College Board's Bluebook™ App, which provides a realistic simulation of a real digital SAT. After you finish taking a digital practice test, you can log in to your College Board account, where they will show you your score and a list of all questions on the practice test. The list will also provide you with correct answers and explanations
for every question. Kudos to the College Board for making all of these resources available. Unfortunately, the explanations are … well … unhelpful. They seem to have been prepared as an afterthought and without serious effort. Test walkthroughs written by professional educators would be better.
Practice Test Explanation Manuals
The answer guides below were written and edited by actual educators. Each manual consists of a single PDF file containing explanations for every question in every module, including both the easier
and the harder
second modules. Please note that these manuals do not include restatements of the original problems (for copyright reasons), so you'll want to have these guides handy as you go through your practice test feedback report online. We intend to charge a small fee for these to help maintain this website, but Perseus Prep is a brand new company, and we are still ironing out our payment and delivery systems, so in the meantime, help yourself!

Paper Practice Tests?
The College Board also makes seven practice tests available in PDF format, and these practice tests have pros and cons. Most importantly, the real digital test is adaptive
, which means that, if you do well on the first module of each test, they will give you a harder second module. The paper tests are obviously not adaptive. They don't familiarize you with the digital format, and they don't give you the experience of getting hit in the face with a much harder second module. However, you might find them useful for practice purposes. You can have your own permanent physical copy on which you can scribble or make notes. If you are interested, you can find the College Board's official paper practice tests here.
